Fort Worth, Texas - Portillo's, the culinary establishment known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and signature chocolate cake shake, has declared its intention to expand further into Texas through the planned opening of a restaurant in Fort Worth.

This new venture will be strategically positioned in the thriving North City Development, along N. Tarrant Parkway, optimally situated between Interstate 35W and U.S. Highway 287. Approximately 10 miles south of the Texas Motor Speedway, this location is recognized as a considerable enhancement to Portillo's burgeoning Texan portfolio.

The Fort Worth location will reflect the trend established by the Portillo's restaurant in The Colony, which opened earlier in the year. It will adopt the signature garage-style design, accompanied by features such as a double-drive through to accommodate the needs of contemporary, on-the-go patrons, and an outdoor patio to create a diverse and welcoming environment.

Portillo's CEO Michael Osanloo expressed the brand's enthusiasm, stating, “Since opening our first location in Texas this past January, we have loved serving fans from all across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We quickly followed the successful opening of our restaurant in The Colony by announcing plans to open restaurants in Allen and Arlington, and are thrilled to share additional plans to further expand into the DFW area. We can’t wait to bring our unrivaled Chicago street food to even more fans and newcomers in Fort Worth.”

Although the specifics regarding the construction's initiation or the grand opening of the restaurant remain undisclosed, Portillo's has indicated that the process of recruiting managerial positions and shift leaders is expected to commence shortly.

Earlier in the year, Portillo's verified its ongoing commitment to expand in Texas with announcements of new restaurants near Allen Premium Outlets and South Cooper Street in Arlington. Adding to the anticipation, the recent unveiling of the Portillo's "Beef Bus" campaign in Allen provided both a preview of its culinary delights and a recruitment opportunity for those interested in joining the soon-to-be-opened Allen location.

The Dallas Morning News had reported in February of this year that Portillo’s was securing locations in the Alliance area and a secondary location in Rayzor Ranch in Denton. As of the time of this report, an official confirmation for the Denton location from Portillo's has not been received.
