Labor Day closures in Fort Worth
Most of the municipal offices in Fort Worth will be closed to observe the holiday, but emergency services will continue to operate as usual

Fort Worth - This Labor Day, Monday, September 5, Fort Worth's City Hall and most other municipal offices will be closed to observe the holiday, Dallas Metro News reported citing City of Fort Worth announcement. Despite the closures, emergency services will continue to operate as usual.
There will be no alterations to the regular schedules for garbage, recycling, yard waste, or bulk collection. However, drop-off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will remain closed for the day. Residents needing further information or assistance should contact 817-392-1234.

All local Fort Worth libraries will also close on September 5, resuming regular hours the following day.
Community Centers and Amenities Update

The majority of community centers, including the Haws Athletic Center and late-night programs, will close for the day. However, Chisholm Trail and Victory Forest community centers will remain open. Outdoor amenities like golf courses, the McLeland Tennis Center, and various parks and gardens will also be open to the public.
Animal Shelter and Adoption Centers
The Fort Worth Animal Shelter, along with its Chuck & Brenda Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center and North Animal Campus, will be closed on September 5. The PetSmart Adoption Centers located at Hulen and Alliance will remain open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Water Department and Emergency Reporting
For water bill payments and account inquiries, residents can use the Water Department’s automated system by calling the 24-hour center at 817-392-4477.
Public Transportation Remains Largely Unaffected
Trinity Metro’s TEXRail and The Dash will continue with their regular schedules. Meanwhile, Trinity Metro bus, ZIPZONE, and ACCESS paratransit services will operate on Sunday schedules. TRE service will be suspended for the day, and Trinity Metro’s administrative offices and customer care kiosk will also be closed. The customer care phone line will be operational from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., reachable at 817-215-8600."
