The Shops at Highland Village Announces First-Ever BLOOM Campaign

The Shops at Highland Village is proud to announce BLOOM, an innovative month-long event series that promotes sustainability and community engagement. Starting on March 15 and running through April 22, BLOOM will transform the Shops at Highland Village into a hub for activities and events.

"BLOOM isn’t only an expression of The Shops at Highland Village’s commitment to sustainable practices, but also a testament to our ability to continuously seek ways to enhance the overall customer experience," says Ravi Wadhwa, general manager at The Shops at Highland Village. "From eco-conscious activations like our Global Recycling Day event to our fun-filled Easter crafts and games, we’re looking forward to seeing how BLOOM champions green initiatives and builds a sense of community in the Highland Village area."

BLOOM aims to inspire and educate visitors on sustainable living practices while fostering a stronger sense of community and promoting fresh beginnings. The event is expected to draw thousands of visitors, providing a significant boost to local businesses while encouraging eco-conscious living. During this month-long series, BLOOM will feature a wide variety of family-friendly activities, including:

Global Recycling Day – On March 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Shops at Highland Village’s Global Recycling Day activation will give attendees the opportunity to safely and sustainably shred old documents. The Shops will also hand out branded reusable bags to guests while supplies last. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to recycle their unwanted goods through various donation drives, including:

• A donation drive for gently used towels, dog leashes and dog collars, benefitting Flower Mound Animal Services — a division of the Town of Flower Mound dedicated to ensuring the safety of the community through proactive support of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
• A donation drive for used jeans, pants, jackets and other forms of attire for all ages, benefitting Giving Grace — a nonprofit serving families with children in Denton County who are currently homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.
• A donation drive for gently used yoga mats for upcoming outdoor activities at The Shops. Inspire Yoga will provide a discount on a new yoga mat from their studio to those who donate.

World Water Day – In recognition of World Water Day, The Shops at Highland Village will be giving away 300 branded reusable water bottles to shoppers on March 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. To qualify, all customers need to do is show a receipt — from any store with any dollar amount — of a purchase made at the Shops at Highland Village that day and pick up their water bottle at OrangeTwist or Daily Thread. OrangeTwist will also offer a special discount for their HydraFacial and Daily Thread will give customers a coupon toward their next purchase.

The Backyard Grand Opening Weekend - Join us in celebrating the grand opening of The Shops’ newly renovated outdoor space, The Backyard, on April 4-6. This special event will showcase The Backyard's amenities and feature an exciting lineup of activities throughout the weekend. Guests will enjoy live music performances, participate in family-friendly activities, energize with outdoor fitness classes, and have the chance to win fun giveaways. The Shops will also collect food goods for Communities in Schools North Texas’ school pantries as part of The Backyard’s debut weekend.

Easter Bunny Brunch - Attendees can join us at Sip + Savor for an Easter-themed brunch from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at the event, giving families an opportunity to capture photos. Kids will also be able to take home a rubber duckie bunny, while supplies last, as a memento.

An Egg-cellent Day – On April 12 from 1 to 3 p.m., guests can hop ‘til they drop at the Shops at Highland Village’s annual Easter event. With the help of Learning Express and Adventure Kids Playcare, this event will feature games and crafts including hair glitter, face painting, bubble machines, hula hoops and rolling eggs. Families can enjoy free photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny at his throne and take home fuzzy bunny ears while supplies last.

Earth Day Celebration – On April 22 from 6 to 8 p.m., BLOOM will conclude with an Earth Day celebration. This celebration will feature a free concert and face painting for family-friendly fun at The Backyard. Guests will also have a chance to see a local beekeeper handle an active beehive and browse earth-friendly toys and gifts at a Learning Express pop-up shop.
