Young child fatally wounded in Dallas shooting, woman injured

Dallas, Texas - On a Sunday evening, a birthday event in Dallas was marred by a drive-by shooting, resulting in the death of a young child, according to Dallas Metro News.
The event occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. near Fair Park, in a residential area. The shooting targeted a group gathered outside a home located at the junction of Haskell and East Grand avenues.
A 2-year-old girl was unfortunately hit while she was in a car, sustaining two gunshot wounds. Another woman, not related to the child, was seriously injured in the event and is currently in critical condition.

Following the incident, attendees quickly moved the injured to a nearby hospital. By the time the Dallas Police Department arrived, the child had sadly passed away.
