- As the temperature continues to drop in Dallas, it's important to make sure you stay warm. Sub-freezing temperatures can be dangerous for those who don't have access to a warm shelter or for those who experience power outages in bad weather. For those looking for shelter, visit the Austin Street Shelter Annex, Oak Lawn United Methodist Church, Warren United Methodist Church, or J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. (CW33 Dallas)
- A Dallas man was reunited with Snow, his 16-foot pet python, after it had been missing for months. According to the Dallas snake owner, he had been visiting Austin when someone broke into his car and stole the bag containing the python. Months later, Austin residents reported it to the Austin Animal Center and the snake and owner were reunited. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)

- The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating critical missing person Lawrence Edward Williams. On Dec. 22, 2022, at about 2:30 a.m., Williams was seen leaving the 2400 block of Matland Drive driving his vehicle, a black Ford pickup truck with Texas License Plate #BF47949. He may be in need of assistance. Persons with information are asked to call the police department at 911 or (214) 671-4268. Please reference case number 227905-2022. - Some dogs have been at the Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center for a long time, and they need the most help. Right now, adoptions are still free! - The DFW Airport has been monitoring this week’s forecast and has made preparations for subfreezing temperatures. They expect a busy week ahead of the holiday weekend, and caution that customers should be prepared for cold temperatures and dress appropriately.
