The microtransit system, launched in March 2024, has exploded from a few thousand annual riders to hundreds of thousands, and other U.S. bases are studying Fort Hood’s model.

• ‘The goal is 20,000 acres': Fort Hood conducting annual prescribed burns around live-fire training areas (kwtx.com) — If you’ve seen smoke over Fort Hood lately, it’s from planned burns designed to protect both training and nearby communities.
