• Harlingen drainage project expected to relieve flooding issues in the area (krgv.com) — Nearly 500 Harlingen homeowners are set to see relief from flooding as the city and Cameron County Drainage District No. 5 widen a major drainage ditch along N. 77 Sunshine Strip near Loop 499. The $250,000 project, funded by the city and Harlingen EDC, is underway now and expected to finish by March 2026.
   

• Photos, artifacts bring Valley Baptist's 100-year history of healing to life (star-telegram.com) — Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen has unveiled a permanent history wall marking 100 years of caring for local families, from early polio battles to today’s advanced NICU. Located in the South Tower on Pease Street, the exhibit uses photos, artifacts, and even QR-linked audio interviews to showcase the hospital’s growth and personal stories from staff and patients.
