Judge Rules Dallas Minister Kenyon Glover Assaulted Woman
Former NBA Player and actor now works as a fitness trainer for PickUp USA Fitness in Coppell

A Superior Court judge in California has ruled in favor of a woman who accused Dallas resident Kenyon Glover of assault.
Ex-prosecutor and former Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County Judge Alfred Coletta determined Kenyon Demorio Glover "exceeded what he felt was perhaps permissive behavior that would have caused him to act that way,” determining Glover assaulted the woman.
Coletta, who had reviewed numerous cases, called the testimony "disturbing," according to the court.

According to the court, Glover, 45, a former NBA Player, minister, actor, and fitness trainer at PickUp USA Fitness in Coppell, admitted to being in possession of a handgun and admitted to removing the weapon from the holster and handling the weapon in the victim’s presence in the time period preceding the assault.
In her testimony, the victim revealed Glover “did a lot of stuff to scare me, to intimidate me, and it was to provoke fear in me.” The victim spoke directly to Glover on the impact of the assault and said, “Yes, Sir, you did attack me. Yes, Sir, you did use threats, emotional manipulation, trickery, and coercion,” according to court testimony.

The victim told the court Glover was a "predator” and that the assault was a “premeditated experience.” The victim referred to Glover as a “narcissistic sociopath” according to court testimony.
With regard to the victim's claim for being afraid of Glover, the court determined that the evidence produced established that Glover might try to retaliate against the victim.
“It is clear that there’s reference in the declaration that Mr. Glover has indicated he would retaliate if she were to communicate the information. And I have to take it on face value that the victim is concerned for her safety, well-being, and her home,” the judge said.
At one point during the hearing, Glover erupted in anger leading the victim to express fear of him to the judge stating, “It’s that temper right there. I know he can be a bully, and it’s deeply concerning to me,” according to court testimony.
Judge Coletta put into effect a permanent order of protection against Glover. The court found “there is an ability for Mr. Glover to come to California. He’s a licensed driver in California. He has access to the state. He has access to other social media tools if he wishes to make contact with the victim, so I will grant the restraining order,” the judge said.
And, per the ruling, the judge points to Glover's conduct and provides an awareness of the dangers or probable consequences. The defendant must not do the following things, "Harass, intimidate, attack, strike, stalk, threaten, assault, abuse, or disturb the peace of the victim.”
According to the court, Glover “cannot own, possess, have, buy or try to buy, receive or try to receive, or in any other way get guns, other firearms, or ammunition.”
Additionally, Glover must not contact the victim, by telephone, in writing, by e-mail, or by other electronic means, the court said.
The court, which heard "clear and convincing" evidence, determined its findings of fact and conclusions of law.
In this scenario, the judge determined Glover's conduct had established by a preponderance of evidence that he had engaged in willful and wanton conduct by performing an act, assaulting the victim. “I do find her credible,” Judge Coletta told Glover.
Court testimony revealed that Glover had previously been arrested and charged with domestic violence. Glover appeared via LA Court Connect from his home in Dallas.
According to the court, Glover was served with the restraining order at his place of employment listed as PickUp USA Fitness located at 989 W. Sandy Lake Road, Suite 500, Coppell, Texas 75019, by Dallas County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.
