• McAllen Upgrades Public Safety Radio Systems (texasborderbusiness.com) — McAllen city leaders have approved a major upgrade to police, fire, and emergency management radio systems, the first since 2015, to boost reliability during emergencies. The dog, Officer Mino, is receiving specialized care in San Antonio and is reported to be in recovery. Authorities note the woman is believed to be homeless with a prior address outside the Valley.
