Lines wrapped around the Food Bank as locals gave, met the comedian in person, and helped provide thousands of grocery carts’ worth of meals for area families.

Christus Children's Hospital spreads joy with Christmas visits from Santa (news4sanantonio.com) — At Christus Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, young patients spending Christmas in the hospital got bedside visits from Santa, his elves, and the San Antonio Police Department’s Blue Santa. Families say the surprise gifts and personal attention lifted spirits and helped them feel the holidays were still special despite being away from home.
   

3. Search underway after CLEAR Alert issued for missing San Antonio teen (kens5.com) — Authorities have issued a CLEAR Alert for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, last seen early Christmas Eve outside her northwest Bexar County home near San Antonio, and her family is urgently asking the community for help and prayers. Surveillance video shows her by her car around 7 a.m., but she vanished without her phone or vehicle, prompting Christmas Day searches that have so far found no trace.
   

4. Kenneth Wayne Eskew (myparistexas.com) — Family and friends are remembering 86-year-old Kenneth Wayne Eskew, a former San Antonio Police Department officer and U.S. Border Patrol retiree, who passed away earlier this month. Private funeral services are planned for Monday, December 29, 2025, at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, honoring his decades of service and his deep devotion to family, woodworking, and storytelling.
   

5. How San Antonio moms rallied to save a starving newborn almost 40 years ago (star-telegram.com) — Nearly four decades ago, San Antonio mothers answered a citywide media plea to donate breast milk, helping save a starving newborn treated at Children’s Hospital at Santa Rosa Medical Center. More than 100 local women responded, ensuring baby Sylvia Garcia finally gained weight and went home for her first Christmas, highlighting a powerful moment of community generosity.
