Fort Bend Fire Marshal in Richmond Gets New K-9
The Fort Bend Fire Marshal's office in Richmond has a new K-9 for arson investigation.

RICHMOND, TX — The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office has a new member, Bella a dog trained to sniff for accelerants used to start fire.
Bella will be part of the fire marshal's Accelerant Detection Canine Program (ADCP) and will be used to assist police and fire departments throughout the county. The fire marshal's office determined that in the last two years a dog could have assisted on determining if 145 fires throughout the county were arson.
The ADCP will help arson investigators make their determination by providing them with a more accurate, credible, and mobile accelerant detection resource than currently available field detection devices.
