Lopez,. who was already a hit on the comedy circuit, hit superstardom with his sitcom, The George Lopez Show, in 2002. The show ran on ABC for six seasons. Lopez, who got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006, has appeared in a number of other network programs and is the author of two books.
