• Sharon McCombs Fontenot (americanpress.com) — Sugar Land residents are mourning the passing of 80-year-old Sharon McCombs Fontenot, a longtime community member remembered for her kindness and passion for genealogy. Born in Louisiana and later settling in Sugar Land, she devoted years to helping others trace their family histories. She is survived by her husband Larry, son Stephen, and extended family, and is interred in Houston.
