• Fort Bend ISD to share rezoning scenarios (khou.com) — Fort Bend ISD is rolling out proposed new elementary boundaries and middle school attendance zones in Sugar Land, including possible school consolidations tied to opening Amy Coleman Middle School. After Monday’s workshop, the district plans to post revised maps online in January for community feedback, with final board action expected in March, so families should watch closely for changes to their campuses. 
• Sugar Land expands Great Homes program, offering bigger reimbursements for homeowners with older homes (click2houston.com) — Sugar Land is boosting its Great Homes program in 2026, offering up to 50% reimbursement for exterior repairs on the city’s lowest-valued homes, with applications opening January 1. The city has budgeted $200,000 to expand participation, lowered the minimum project cost to $500, and broadened eligibility so more Sugar Land homeowners can upgrade fences, siding, paint, lighting, and landscaping.
