Sugar Land Gets $500,000 Donation for Cullinan Park

Sugar Land received a $500,000 donation for the redevelopment of Cullinan Park.

Sugar Land, TX — The city of Sugar Land recently received a donation of $500,000 from the Cullinan Park Conservancy to help fund the redevelopment of the park, 754 acres of mostly inaccessible forest and wetlands near Sugar Land Regional Airport.

The funds will help pay improvements to the area, including trails and boardwalks, and the installation of canoes and kayaks launches. The city also plans to install benches, picnic areas and signs.

Since the city of Sugar Land annexed the park it has assumed maintenance and operation of the facilities, as such it has installed new security measures and entry gates and a new lighting system.
