4th Of July Craft: Patriotic Wand

Substitute your usual sparklers for these flowing patriotic wands that are colorful and safe.

If you're worried about kids' safety when they're using sparklers, help kids craft these patriotic wands instead. Kids can add as many ribbons to the wand as they'd like.

If you're hosting a July 4th party, hand these wands out to kids as party favors!

What you'll need:

Patriotic Ribbon

Instructions:

1. Use scissors to cut 10-12 lengths of ribbon that are double the length you'd like. For example, if you'd like your ribbons to be 36 inches long, cut a length of ribbon that is 72 inches long.

2. Tie each length of ribbon one at a time around the dowel, tying a double knot.

3. Secure each ribbon length with glue.

4. If your child wants to add more ribbons to the dowel, go for it! There's no right or wrong way to create this fun party favor.
