Instructions:
1. While eggs are boiling, peel the paper wrapper off each crayon you plan to use.

2. Using a craft knife or an old kitchen knife, carefully shave small pieces of the crayon away onto a paper plate. (Do not use your favorite kitchen knife for this task, as the crayons might stick to it permanently.)
3. Remove the hot egg from boiling and carefully dry. Roll the egg around in the crayon shavings while the egg is still hot.
4. Allow the egg to sit for several minutes while the crayon melts onto the egg. The color will drip down the egg, so you can place the egg on its side or vertically, depending on how you want the color to run. Even if you use the same colors, every egg is totally unique!
5. When the crayon has melted and feels dry, use your fingers to remove any remaining clumps of crayon that may still be on the egg.
