DIY Decor: Kid-Friendly Spring Bunting
Use pretty spring fabrics to help kids make an easy bunting that they can proudly display in their room.

You can make this bunting as long or as short as you'd like, so it can fit practically anywhere on the wall! Kids will be so proud when you display their DIY bunting on the wall.
Younger kids might need some extra help with cutting the fabric, but any kid who can tie their shoes can successfully tie the bunting.

Instructions:
1. Use the pinking shears to cut fabric into strips that are about 2" wide and 10" long. You can cut as many fabric strips as you'd like depending on the length of your twine.
We used fleece fabric for this step since it's easy to work with and doesn't unravel, but you can use any type of fabric you'd like.

2. With scissors, cut the twine to whatever length you'd like your bunting to be, plus a few extra inches.
3. Grab the ends of one fabric strip and tie it in a knot around the twine. (The fabric doesn't have to look super neat or be tied evenly, so kids should be able to complete this step on their own.)
4. Continue working your way across, tying each strip to the twine.
5. Decide where you'd like to hang your bunting. You may want to hold the bunting up and mark where you'd like to place it on the wall. This can also be helpful for placing the nails level with each other. (Kids will need some adult help with this and the following steps.)
6. Hammer two brass tack nails into the wall, leaving space in the center for your bunting.
7. Tie the ends of the bunting around the nails, securing with a knot.
8. Arrange the fabric pieces on your bunting, spacing them or pushing them close together. There's no wrong way to do this, so use your creativity!
