DIY Father's Day Gift: Leather Cuff
Craft Dad an accessory that's both stylish and sweet with this simple leather carving technique.
Dad's a stylish guy, so gift him a personalized accessory for Father's Day that will make him think of his family no matter where he goes.
These leather cuffs use a super easy carving technique to make kids' words or drawings stand out. While kids can take the lead on what to draw on the bracelet, adults will need to step in to help with the carving and painting steps.

Instructions:
1. Using a crayon, have kids draw or write a message on the blank cuff. The cuff might say, "Happy Father's Day," "I love you, Dad," or it just might include doodles.

2. With the linoleum cutting tool, gently trace your kid's letters or drawings to create an indentation in the leather. Do not cut all the way through the leather; instead, focus on carving the lines into the leather.

3. Using the paintbrush and leather paint, paint the entire leather cuff. Be sure the paint gets into the crevices of the carved letters, too, so that they are more visible.
4. Allow the paint to dry, following the manufacturer's instructions.
