DIY Father's Day Gift: Personalized Tie
Skip the usual store-bought ties and instead opt for a fun tie decorated by Dad's favorite artist.
Ties are what most of us think of when we think about Father's Day, and that's reason enough to skip it. But what if the tie was super special?
Dad certainly won't think a tie decorated by his own kid artist is cliche. Encourage kids to use their creativity to draw a tie that Dad will certainly want to wear to the next special occasion.

1. Help kids plan their tie design. They might want to draw pictures onto the tie, or they might just want to write a message to Dad.

2. Ties are small and can be slippery, so consider anchoring the tie to the table using heavy objects placed at the top and bottom to hold the tie in place.

3. Help kids plan their design. Ties can be a challenge for kids since the space is a bit limited. Younger kids may need some help planning where everything will go so that it will fit.
4. Help kids draw their design using fabric markers. If you'd like, write the year on the back of the tie so you can record your child's age.
