#1. Using the paintbrush and white paint, paint varied strokes from the top of the candle holder to the bottom. These strokes can all vary in size, so don't worry about making them perfect! Paint icicles around the candle holder until you're happy with your icicles. Allow the paint to dry.

Mod Podge

#2. Add a layer of Mod Podge over the white paint. This doesn't have to be perfect, either!

Craft sand

#3. While the Mod Podge is still wet, spread a thin layer of craft sand into the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet. Roll the wet candle holder back and forth in the sand, covering the painted areas completely.

Tip: If the craft sand doesn't seem to be sticking to the icicles, you can just apply more Mod Podge.

#4. Allow the icicles to dry.
