DIY Winter Craft: Paper Snowflake Bunting
Create a winter wonderland using simple supplies that you probably already have on hand.

Designing snowflakes is an art, for sure, but don't feel like you have to be a professional to make pretty paper ones. Play around with simple designs at first, then experiment with more complex ones when you see how the snowflakes unfold.

#1. For a smaller snowflake, cut the white paper in half lengthwise with scissors. For a larger snowflake, just use the entire sheet of paper.
#2. Fold each sheet of paper into an accordion, just like you would if you were making a fan.

#3. Press down firmly on the accordion shape, then staple the center to hold the snowflake together.
#4. Draw a design on the pressed accordion. The design can be as complicated or as simple as you'd like.
#5. Using scissors, cut out the designs.
#6. Separate the accordion, bringing the ends of the paper together to form a circle.
#7. Tape the ends together to secure.
#8. Repeat steps 1-7 to create as many snowflakes as you'd like.

#9. Cut a strand of yarn that's the length you'd like your garland to be.
#10. One at a time, string the snowflakes onto the yarn. You can slip the yarn through any of the holes created by the design.
#11. Hang the garland and admire your pretty snowflakes!
