Encourage all the neighborhood birds to hang out in your yard with this quick DIY bird feeder.

Your yard will be the most popular hangout for the neighborhood birds thanks to this easy peanut butter-coated bird feeder. Be sure to hang it in a tree that's visible from inside your house so you and your kiddo can watch the birds enjoy their scrumptious meal!
What you'll need:
- Upcycled toilet paper or paper towel roll
- Peanut butter (creamy works best)
- Spreading knife
- Bird seed
- Plate
- Scissors
- Twine

1. Use a spreading knife to coat the toilet paper or paper towel roll with peanut butter.

2. Evenly distribute bird seed onto a plate.

3. Roll the peanut butter-coated roll around in the birdseed, coating the entire roll. Add more birdseed to the plate, if necessary, rolling until the peanut butter is no longer visible.

4. Cut a length of twine three times as long as the toilet paper or paper towel roll.
5. Insert one end of the twine through the center of the roll.
6. Grab each end of the twine, then knot the twine around a tree branch to secure it.
7. Watch the birds enjoy their feast!
