Earth Day Craft: Egg Carton Flowers
Recycle egg cartons to turn them into color-splashed flowers that can be used for anything from wall art to tiny organizers.

We hope you saved your egg cartons from Easter! Rescue egg cartons from the landfill by turning them into pretty flowers.
Kids will love using watercolors to paint each unique flower. When you're finished, you and your kiddo can glue the flowers to paper and use it as wall art, or you can skip the beads and use the blooms as organizers for office supplies.

2. Shape each cup into a flower shape. You can do this by clipping the four corners of the cup and spreading out your cup's "petals." You can also clip all the way around the cup, creating a fringe-like petal. Try out a couple of different techniques and choose your favorites.

3. Using watercolors and a paintbrush, paint each flower. Encourage kids to use as many different watercolors as they'd like for this step! Allow the flowers to dry.

4. If you'd like, use glue to apply beads to the center of each flower. Add as many (or as few) beads as you'd like. (If you're using the egg carton flowers as tiny organizers, you'll probably want to skip this step.)
