1. Remove the labels from the tins cans. If the labels are stuck to the can, you can soak the can in hot water to help remove them. Dry the cans.

2. Using the paintbrush, apply 2-3 coats of paint to each can. You can use one solid color or try a combination of colors. It's totally up to you! Allow the paint to dry.

3. Turn the cans upside down, exposing the bottom of the can. Hammer a small nail through the bottom center of the can, creating a small hole. Repeat for the other four cans.

4. Cut a 2' length of twine. Thread the twine through the hole in the can. Knot the twine inside the can to secure it. Repeat for the other four cans.

5. Tie each can to the embroidery hoop, spacing cans evenly and pulling the twine so that each can touches but hangs at a different length.
6. Cut two 1' lengths of twine. Tie one length around the embroidery hoop, then tie the other length directly across from it on the opposite side of the hoop.
7. Tie the two lengths of twine together and use this to hang the chimes. Depending on where you hang them, you may want to adjust the length of the twine.
