If you are planning an intricate design for your egg, you might want to skip the dye step so that your design stands out on the white egg.

2. Choose a Sharpie color. If you dyed your egg, be sure to choose a color that will be visible on top of the dye.

3. If you're planning a complex design, practice doodling on paper first to plan your masterpiece.

4. Use a Sharpie to draw a fun design on the egg, using multiple colors if desired. If you aren't very artistic, you can write phrases like "Happy Easter" on the egg, or just write the names of your family and friends.
