If you're not obsessed with washi tape yet, you will be after you try this Easter egg DIY.

This Easter egg DIY is almost too easy! The hardest part: choosing which fun washi tape designs to use.

Thanks to the variety of washi tape designs to pick from, you can create a traditional egg featuring flowers or bunnies, or you can go for a not-so-traditional egg featuring anything from stars to geometric patterns.

If you're not pleased with your design, don't worry. Washi tape is easy to peel off and reapply.

1. Dye egg, if desired. Allow to dry completely.

2. Wrap washi tape around the egg, smoothing it down as you go. Play with the design, wrapping the tape all the way around the egg or just placing small bits of tape on the egg's surface.

You can wrap the tape horizontally, vertically, or even diagonally. Use the same tape on the entire egg, or mix and match different washi tape designs for a rainbow of colors.

If you dyed your egg, you might want to leave some empty space to show off the pretty color.
