There was a lot to take away from FBI Director James Comey's testimony before the House Intelligence Committee on Monday, when he confirmed an investigation into the Trump campaign team's ties with Russia and debunked Trump's claims that President Obama was wiretapping him.

One ramification: Trump's surrogates are finding it harder and harder to defend him, writes The New York Times' Glenn Thrush. The Times reports that aides such as Press Secretary Sean Spicer "have told allies that Mr. Trump’s Twitter habits are making their jobs harder, said administration officials interviewed over the past week."
