Spring Craft: Colorful Rock Pets

These rock pets are built using rocks straight from the yard, so they're easy on parents' budgets. Kids might have just as much fun foraging for rocks as they will painting them!

What you'll need:

• Smooth rock(s) of various sizes
• Low temp glue gun and glue sticks (optional)
• Washable paint
• Paintbrush

Instructions:

1. Forage the yard for rocks you can use to create your pet. Choose rocks that are smooth and even, if possible.

2. Decide what animal you'd like to create and plan your design. Some animals might only require one rock, while others may need several rocks.

3. Depending on the animal you create, you may want to use a hot glue gun to connect the rocks. Smaller rocks make great paws, arms, legs, eyes, etc.

4. Once your pet is assembled, paint designs onto the pet using paint and paintbrushes. Allow the paint to dry.
