Thanksgiving Crafts For Kids: Leaf Painting
Get inspired by nature when you use backyard fall leaves to create colorful works of art.

Kids (and adults!) of all ages will love experimenting with this DIY project. There's no wrong way to do it, so encourage crafters to get creative! The finished pieces could even be laminated and used as Thanksgiving day place mats.

- Leaves gathered from the backyard
- Double-sided tape
- 1 sheet of white card stock
- Acrylic paint in various fall-inspired shades like red, orange, and yellow
- Paintbrush

Instructions:
1. Place a small piece of double-sided tape to the back of each leaf, then arrange them on the white card stock. The arrangement of the leaves doesn't matter; just be sure to leave some white space where the paint will be visible.

2. Using the acrylics and the paintbrush, paint the card stock. Kids can paint on the leaves, between the leaves -- there's no wrong way to create this masterpiece.
3. Allow the paint to dry.
4. Carefully peel the leaves away from the paper, making sure the double-sided tape comes away clean from the card stock.
