Conroe Chamber Reps Meet With Rep Brady In Washington, DC
US Rep Kevin Brady welcomed members of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce to discuss business and workforce development issues.

Hello Patch lovers! My name is Bryan Kirk and I am your Houston area editor. I cover Houston as well as the communities of Conroe, The Woodlands, Humble-Kingwood, Sugar Land, Pasadena, and Clear Lake.
In a nutshell, I'm a native Texan, a veteran, a husband, and grandpa, and I love talking about Texas and the Houston area, but there's more when you crack this nut, so sit back and relax.
I am a veteran reporter and self-professed media junkie who has worked in radio, television, and in newspapers for 20 years. Before my Patchy debut, I spent six years toiling as a freelance reporter, covering a host of communities for the Houston Chronicle, writing for the alumni magazine at Texas State University, and other writing gigs too numerous to count.
I was the military reporter for the Temple Daily Telegram where I covered Fort Hood, and the jack of all trades at the Las Cruces Sun-News, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Before going west where the tumbleweeds and javalinas all live, I spent my first six years in journalism working at the Seguin Gazette, where I covered the state legislature, county politics, cops, courts...you name it. I've also worked as an assignments editor at the San Antonio NBC affiliate KMOL/WOAI TV, and did a little news anchoring and board operating at KTSA in San Antonio.
Of course, long before I was a reporter, I served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a member of the 2nd Marine Airwing at MCAS New River, NC from 1986-90, and then a stint in the U.S. Army at Fort Bennng, GA from 1990-1994.
With all that being said, the most important thing is hearing from you and hearing your stories. If you have a story, news tip or something really cool and Patchy you want to share, then please shoot me an email at bryan.kirk@patch.com.
Oh and dont forget to become a loyal subscriber and reader of our newsletter and Facebook postings. We love that here!
