Bio: I was born in Arkansas and grew up in Hazelwood, Missouri. I attended Armstrong Elementary and graduated from Hazelwood West High School.

I have always had an interest in news, history and story-telling and realized my junior year of high school that journalism was my career path.

Upon graduating in 2002, I entered the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduated in 2006 with a Journalism degree.

I have worked at newspapers, television and radio stations in Columbia, Missouri; Utica, New York; Myrtle Beach-Florence, South Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida.

I was an account manager for a multicultural advertising and public relations agency before my return to the St. Louis area and news as a member of the Patch team.
