Mass, Spaghetti Dinner Will Honor Lemont Veterans, First Responders
All Lemont service personnel, veterans, and both active and retired first responders are encouraged to attend.

The event is from noon to 1 p.m. at the Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend St., Thursday, Nov. 7.
Pre-registration is required.
Handmade ornaments are needed by Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The "Celebrating Women…Beauty and Health" event will include an evening of shopping, spa treatments, and health and wellness information from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club.

The free diabetes screening will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Downers Grove Recreation Center.
For each item donated, patrons will receive a coupon good for $1 off library fines or $1 worth of free printing (up to a maximum of $10 per account).
The program will enable police to make faster identifications, reunite family members quicker, and provide help to people with special needs.
The ornaments feature the 1920 Carnegie library building.

Shoppers can purchase unique finds from vendors and crafters at the Lemont Township Community Center.
The “Principal for a Day” program is a statewide initiative to provide state and federal elected officials with an opportunity to observe, interact, and serve as an administrator in schools within their legislative district.
This annual award program recognizes talented high school musicians with monetary awards for the continuation of their musical studies.
All proceeds will benefit community service projects.
