I've covered dog sledding and commercial fishing in the Land of the Midnight Sun, civic duty and Civil Rights icons in the Windy City, courts and crime in Hotlanta and the Inauguration of our first Black President.
Time away from the news business has given me perspective to appreciate what I've always considered my calling. And focusing on local stories has always been my lens to open a broader view of our society and our country.
