Remembering Snooty: Memorial Set In Creature's Honor
The South Florida Museum has announced a free memorial to honor the memory of Snooty the manatee.

Born in Rochester, N.Y.
Sherri Lonon moved to Land O' Lakes via Amsterdam, N.Y., when she was 12. Lonon attended Pine View Middle and Land O' Lakes High before going on to receive her degree in history from the University of South Florida.
Always an avid writer, she began her career in journalism in 1990, writing mostly about local communities such as Land O' Lakes, Lutz, Carrollwood, Town 'N Country and Plant City. She also served as the community relations coordinator for the Hillsborough County Water Department. She is married and has two daughters.
When she's not working, she enjoys reading, watching a good horror movie and hanging out with her family and friends.
