Here are the top three stories today in Salt Lake City:
- After 28 long years, justice is looking to be served as Keith Klingenberg is being charged with the murder of his wife Bernadean that was found dead in her West Valley home in June of 1995. When the incident first occurred, the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office stated that Klingenberg claimed his wife committed suicide by slashing her own throat, and medical examiners classified the case as undetermined. However, in 2016 the case was reactivated due to several inconsistencies in communication between the dispatchers and Klingenberg as well as scene analysis and a re-interview with Bernadean's daughter. After more analysis of the scene and the body, it was determined that the case was not consistent with a suicidal act, an arrest warrant was issued for Klingenberg and he will be held without bail. - Four-time Grammy-nominated artist Charlie Puth is making a stop at Usana Amphitheater in June. The iconic artist is bringing his "Charlie" Live Experience to Utah on Wednesday, Jun. 28 for a show that attendees will not soon be able to forget. Whether you looking for a fun friend night, date night, musical family-filled night, or just a Puth super fan this is the perfect opportunity to spice up a Wednesday night. You can get your tickets online at Puth's website or you can go straight through Ticketmaster. (ABC4.com)
- With school almost officially done for the summer and the rise in outdoor recreational activities in the state of Utah, a new crew of state rangers has been formed to assist in keeping the public safe and educated. A newly-formed State Division of Outdoor Recreation crew has been formed under Director Jason Curry and both he and his team of 10 rangers will be patrolling Salt Lake City and the rest of Utah ensuring safety in the community. In addition to this new crew being assembled, there have been different measures taken to elevate the safety of recreational activities within the state including required registrations for adult and youth off-road riders. The goal of this outdoor crew is not to be enforcers necessarily even though they are officers, but rather educators to keep everyone safe while enjoying the recreational activities outdoor Utah has to offer.
