TRAFFIC ALERT: FrontRunner delays from Salt Lake to Ogden (abc4.com) — FrontRunner riders leaving Salt Lake Central for Ogden are facing 20–25 minute northbound delays this afternoon because a young passenger reported feeling unsafe around another rider, prompting police to briefly hold a train. UTA says southbound trips may also see up to 10-minute residual delays, and there’s no active suspect search, but riders should plan extra time.
   

2. Claiming independence & dreams: Machinist program for Utah adults with autism graduates inaugural cohort (deseret.com) — Adults with autism in South Salt Lake City just graduated from a new machinist training program that feeds directly into local manufacturing jobs, including at Salt Lake City’s Complex Fabricators and Boeing suppliers. The 12-week course, run by Columbus Community Center and Salt Lake Community College, is opening paths to independence, steady wages, and in-demand CNC careers for Salt Lake County residents.

Salt Lake City couple displays 'Unite and Light' lights for local nonprofits (fox13now.com) — A Salt Lake City couple has transformed Michigan Avenue on the East Bench into a nightly “Unite and Light” spectacle, running 6–10 p.m. through Christmas. Visitors can stroll or drive past 31 illuminated sycamores while donating via QR codes to Alliance House and Neighborhood House, turning a free neighborhood light show into a fundraiser for local nonprofits.

'Families on the Fly Lane' to help families navigate Salt Lake City International Airport (fox13now.com) — Families flying through Salt Lake City International Airport this holiday season can use TSA’s dedicated “Families on the Fly Lane,” designed to give parents extra time and space at security. Local travelers describe the lane as far less stressful, and TSA expects the Friday before Christmas to be one of 2025’s busiest travel days.
