- As of Tuesday, deeply affordable housing for seniors and veterans is one step closer to being available in Salt Lake City. Thanks to Switchpoint, there are 100-unit affordable apartments available for seniors or veterans in need of housing. Though construction on the units continues post-ribbon cutting, the $450/month units are available with a community center to come. Photos of the residences can be found at the link. (KSL.com)
- After a closure lasting several long months, a Salt Lake City favorite is open again. Manoli's was severely damaged by heavy flooding in December due to an accident in the business upstairs. The damage costs have topped $200,000 according to the owner, with potentially more to come. Finally, the restaurant officially opened its doors again Tuesday and welcomes locals to return soon. - Coming soon, the Canine Champions for Conservation dog program will arrive at Utah's Hogle Zoo. The program teaches guests how dogs can help with conservation efforts in the wild. There are 21 dogs that are part of the program, so guests will be able to see different dogs performing throughout the day. Shows begin on May 30 and run through Labor Day every Tuesday.
