Here are the top three stories in Salt Lake City today:
- Earlier this week four people were injured in a two-car crash on I-80 in Parleys Canyon, one person is in critical condition following the accident. Late in the day Tuesday a van rear-ended a semi-truck, while the driver of the semi-truck was uninjured all four of the occupants in the van received injuries, and three of the occupants were hospitalized including the driver who is in critical condition. Although it is not currently known what caused the accident officers are currently investigating the accident. (KSL.com)
- The Salt Lake City Council is currently looking to fill the open seat that is being left by Amy Fowler whose resignation becomes official on Jul. 3 following her arrest on suspicions of DUI in Springfield. Applications are already being accepted for those interested in filling the vacancy and will remain open until Monday, Jul. 10 at 4:00 p.m., the applicant who is selected to fill this role will serve through Jan. 2, 2024. - The west-based chicken tender chain is making its way throughout the country adding its first location to the Salt Lake area in Orem. Dave's Hot Chicken will be opening its doors on E. University Parkway this Friday, the restaurant will be open various hours seven days a week for all your late-night chicken cravings. What started up as a pop-up shop put together by four friends in a parking lot in East Hollywood has now become a chain that has expanded to various locations in the U.S., Canada, Qatar, and UAE.
