Here are the top three stories in Salt Lake City today:

  1. After careful consideration, the Utah State Capitol will be working to redesign the building to not only last much longer but to make better use of water. The new plans of demolition and redesign are giving construction managers and city officials the ability to look at the project as a whole and make the space more multi-purposeful. The space is cutting down on several of the grass strips and replacing them with benches, boulders, and other things as a way to make more use of water. The Capitol ground is a staple for visitors and families and the redesign is not meant to take away that element from the area. (FOX 13 News Utah)
  2. After outgrowing its previous location, Shades Brewing is receiving a facility upgrade as it will be moving to the Ballpark District in Salt Lake City where it will also receive some new amenities to better serve the community. At the new location will be a taproom, brewery, and local craft beer-to-go, as well as a full kitchen and a pet-friendly patio. With the brewery moving downtown it is believed a great move for the community as many new opportunities may be on the horizon. (ABC4.com)
  3. Nearby in West Jordan, a Silver Alert has been issued for Robert Crevier as he was last seen Monday night in the area of 1236 S. Brinkerhoff Drive 7620 South. It has been reported that Robert has shown signs of early dementia and does operate using a wheelchair. Crevier, 52, is five-foot, 11-inches, and has brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately. (FOX 13 News Utah)
