Here are the top three stories in Salt Lake City today:

  1. A vacant building in downtown Salt Lake caught fire late Friday and then reignited on Saturday, fire crews combated the flames trying to limit the damage and smoke throughout the city. Although nearby residents were evacuated during the initial incident on Friday, as of Monday all units except for six were able to return to their homes safely. Thankfully no one was injured during this incident. The building is set to be demolished. (FOX 13 News Utah)
  2. Salt Lake City police currently have made no arrest involving an overnight shooting that occurred early Monday morning. Officers received a call regarding a person with a weapon near 300 South Main Street right before 12:45 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene they found one person suffering from a non-critical injury due to a gunshot. The suspect was last seen getting into a car and fleeing the scene, the suspect has still not been found. (KSL.com)
  3. Over the weekend, between 40,000 and 50,000, spectators made their way into the streets of Salt Lake City to take place in the Utah Pride Festival's parade. The overwhelming number of spectators and participants in the parade gave a sense of unity, togetherness, and happiness that the city needed. (KSL.com)
