  1. Work begins today on the stalled Champlain Parkway in Burlington. The construction crews will begin the project by clearing trees between Home and Lakeside Avenues. The Champlain Parkway will connect Interstate 89 to the city's South End. The project is controversial and has been delayed for decades. (WCAX)
