Annandale Man Taking Out Trash Jumped by 3 Teens: Police

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police report there was an attempted armed robbery of a man taking his trash out late Sunday night in Annandale.

The incident took place in the 7700 block of Suraci Court Sunday around 11:23 p.m. Police say a resident, 45, was taking his trash out when three men approached him, demanded his phone and pushed him to the ground.

The suspects assaulted the victim repeatedly and then ran off, police said. The suspects were described as Hispanic, around 14 to 17 years old and wearing dark clothing. Police did not say if a weapon was involved. The victim did not require medical attention.
