Parents argue Fairfax County Public Schools added this change with inadequate notice, raising concerns about transportation, academic programs, and student athletics as the school board’s Jan. 22 vote approaches.
   

• 2 Annandale teens accused of carjacking friend after argument (wjla.com) — Police say a driver was carjacked early Jan. 11 along Little River Turnpike in Annandale after an argument with a passenger who allegedly pulled a gun. Officers soon located the vehicle, arrested a 19-year-old Annandale resident and a juvenile, and filed carjacking and related charges. No injuries were reported in the incident.
