18-Year-Old Arrested on Gun, Drug Charges In Arlington: Police
An 18-year-old Arlington resident was arrested Wednesday on firearm and drug charges after he fled from officers after being detained.

ARLINGTON, VA — An 18-year-old was arrested Wednesday on firearm and drug charges after he fled from police officers after being detained near the intersection of Columbia Pike and S. Walter Reed Drive, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Taurian Anderson got into an argument with another male around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in the area of S. Harrison Street and 8th Street South when he brandished a gun, police said. He then left the scene in a vehicle.
Responding officers found Anderson in the 1000 block of S. Edgewood Street and detained him. But while investigating the incident, Anderson fled from the officers on foot while in handcuffs, according to ARLnow.

Anderson was charged with brandishing a gun, possession of drugs, possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs and obstruction of justice, police said. He was held without bond.
