ARLINGTON, VA — A video of a person of interest in connection to fires that occurred early Thursday morning at three restaurants in Crystal City. The incident is being investigated as arson, Arlington County Fire officials said.

Firefighters responded around 5:30 a.m. to a structure fire in the 500 block of South 23rd Street and found items on fire in the enclosed patio of the Crystal City Sports Club.

With the restaurant’s sprinkler system containing the fire, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the main structure of the building. No injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

ABC7 reported that another surveillance video showed someone starting a fire at Freddie's Beach Bar. Minutes later, a fire was reported outside McNamara’s Bar, which is also on South 23rd Street.

"The door is toast,” Freddie Lutz, who owns the Freddie’s, told ABC7. "There was a big burst of flame, and it even scorched the roof in the little entryway out there. I'm surprised it didn't catch the whole porch on fire."
