4 DC Teens Cited For Burglarizing Pentagon City Businesses: ACPD

ARLINGTON, VA — Four teenagers from Washington, D.C. have been arrested early Tuesday morning for breaking into and stealing merchandise and cash from several Pentagon City businesses, according to Arlington County police.

Officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to investigate a possible breaking and entering at a business in the 1200 block of South Hayes Street. They discovered that someone had forced their way into a closed business and stole cash from the register before fleeing the scene, according to the incident report.

"During the course of the investigation, officers determined three additional closed businesses had been broken into and cash stolen from a restaurant in the 1300 block of South Fern Street, a salon in the 1200 block of South Hayes Street and a retail store in the 1400 block of South Fern Street," the report said. "Additionally, a medical office in the 1400 block of South Hayes Street."

Police took four teenagers — three boys and one girl — into custody after they were found trespassing inside a residential building in the 1600 block of South Eads Street, according to ACPD.

The juvenile suspects, who were all from the District, were arrested in charged with five counts each of burglary and conspiracy, according to police. An additional grand larceny charge was filed against one suspect who police found in possession of stolen electonics.
