Arlington Co. Government Alters Tuesday Schedule Due To Storm
After closing Monday due to the winter storm, Arlington County government offices will operate on a different schedule on Tuesday.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Government offices will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a notice on the county’s website.
“Arlington County Government facilities will open, and judicial court proceedings will begin, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, unless otherwise stated," the notice says.
On Monday afternoon, Arlington Public Schools decided to extend students’ winter break by another day and close on Tuesday.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday throughout Northern Virginia and other parts of the region. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches are predicted, but isolated areas could get up to 12 inches if heavy banding forms, according to the National Weather Service. A trace of ice is forecast with the snow.

Arlington County Parks and Recreation facilities will open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. unless otherwise stated.
The following centers will be open:
- Lubber Run Community Center
- Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center
- Thomas Jefferson Community & Fitness Center
- Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center
- Arlington Mill Community Center
Drop-in teen programming at Arlington Mill Community Center will take place from 2:30-6 p.m.
All other centers will be closed.
Any impacts to classes and programs at the locations above and any other Arlington County community centers, parks, or facilities will be communicated directly to program participants via email.
