Arlington Man Fires Gun Inside His Westover Apartment: Police
An Arlington man was charged with reckless handing of a firearm Tuesday after gunshots were fired inside his apartment in Westover.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man was charged with reckless handing of a firearm Tuesday after gunshots were fired inside a garden apartment building in the Westover neighborhood, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard, across from Swanson Middle School. When they arrived, police determined that the suspect discharged a firearm in his apartment, causing damage to the interior of his home and an adjacent unit.
No injuries were reported, and the gun was recovered, police said.

The suspect, Charles Peters, 76, remained on the scene and was taken into custody without incident, according to police. He was charged with reckless handling of a firearm and public intoxication.
