Arlington Police Investigate Attempted Carjacking In Pentagon City

Arlington County police are investigating an attempted carjacking that occurred Sunday night in Pentagon City.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police are investigating an attempted carjacking that occurred Sunday night in Pentagon City.

Shortly before midnight on Sunday, three suspects drove up in a sedan, got out of the car and approached someone sitting in a parked vehicle in the 700 block of 12th Street South, according to police.

The suspects brandished guns, prompting the person to get out of the car and flee the area, police said. After the victim ran off, the suspects were unable to steal the car.

The vehicle carrying the three suspects is described as a black sedan. The suspects are described as three Black males wearing black hoodies and ski masks.

No injuries were reported in the attempted carjacking, police said.
